が不適切であったことにあります。

どこに置けばよいかということは
    perl -V
を実行すると，そのレスポンスの終わりに

      @INC:

以下に示されます。今回の場合でいえば No.4751 にあるとおり

は，上記リストになく，Kat さんが提案された

4759:> /Library/Perl/

は上記リストの一つであることがおわかりになるでしょう。
